On Thursday, 4 December, the Consulate General of Malta in Shanghai celebrated Malta’s 51st anniversary of the Republic at the iconic Peace Hall of the historic Peace Hotel. The Consul General was deeply honoured to welcome the Guests of Honour: the Hon. Minister for Justice, Dr Jonathan Attard, and the Vice Mayor of Shanghai, Mr Zhang Xiaohong, whose presence highlighted the warmth of Malta–China bilateral relations. immVest International and Honhoo in Shanghai were among the key sponsors of the event.

The evening opened with remarks by the Consul General, Ms Lisa Azzopardi, followed by an address from H.E. John A. Busuttil, Ambassador of Malta to China. The official programme continued with a keynote speech delivered by Minister Attard, highlighting Malta’s forward-looking business outlook.
