Investment Required

  • You can choose whether you want to invest €250,000 in a real estate fund or donate €1,000,000 to a Hungarian
    university.
  • You must hold your investment for at least five years. If you sell after that, your residence permit will still remain
    valid until the end of the tenth year. In the case of a donation, there is no possibility to sell.
  • To be able to extend for another 10 years, you must be invested at the time of the extension.

Procedure and Timeframe

immVest International will strive to ensure that the best option is arrived at prior to engaging. We will then perform an initial due diligence both internally and with our Country specific Delivery Office. Our Client Agreement will then be signed, and relevant Professional Fees will then be payable. Our immVest International Processing office together with our Country specific Delivery Office will begin full preparation on the application prior to submission and visitation (if required).

  • Due Diligence Call with potential Client and KYC (Know-Your-Customer) check with fund of your choice.
  • This is a call to get to know each other and align expectations.

  • Contract Signature

  • Receipt of payment of 60% of service fee by immVest Ltd.

Step 4

  • Collecting necessary documents for visa application
     

Step 5

  • Submission of visa application at the local Hungarian consulate
  • The client must attend the visit in person, as biometric data will be collected. Family members are not required at this stage

Step 6

  • Interview at the consulate
  • The consul may conduct an interview. We provide a list of possible questions for the client to prepare.

Step 7

  • Granting of the guest investor visa
  • We will inform the client when the visa has been issued. It will be affixed to your passport.

Step 8

  • Investment or donation in Hungary
  • Within 90 days after receiving the visa the client has to carry out the investment or the donation. To do this, the investor has to travel to Hungary once. ImmVest will support the applicant during this process. Depending on the fund you choose, certain fees are to be paid directly to the fund.

Step 9

  • Investment confirmation
  • ImmVest receives an investment confirmation from the fund management company or, in the case of a donation, from the university

Step 1

  • immVest will immediately apply for residence permits for the investor and family members.

Step 11

  • Family members’ visit to the consulate
  • immVest will arrange the appointment at the consulate for the family members. Travel visas are affixed to the passport.

Step 12

  • Trip to Hungary
  • The investor and family members must appear once at the immigration office in Budapest for biometrics.

Step 13

  • Issuance of residence permits
  • A few days to weeks later, the authorities send the residence permits (in credit card format) to immVest

Step 14

  • Receipt of payment of remaining 40% of the service fee by immVest.

Step 15

  • Shipment of the residence permits to the client
